300 children went to school with equipped bags

They rang the bell! Starting in September, hundreds of disadvantaged children will be able to start school with the necessary school supplies already in hand. Our 2024 school supplies collection ended with great success, the details of which you can now read in our article.

It is impossible to do well in school if you lack the necessary tools to learn. With our school supplies collection, our goal is to give needy children the opportunity to compete with their fellow students.

Volunteers, companies we could count on for fundraising

In addition to online donations, many people also supported our campaign offline. These in-kind donations played a key role in the success of our initiative. Many companies in Debrecen joined the collection, contributing to making it easier for as many needy children as possible to start school. During the store collections, our volunteers also played a prominent role, as they patiently waited for the donations during the weekends in August. All 10 enthusiastic volunteer helped to make the collection run smoothly. As a result of in-store fundraising 553.000 HUF the total amount was added to the total.

Online donations were also outstanding. THE textbook collection campaign under 797.500 HUFworth of support was received from individual donors a family care for our project.

The school supplies are in a good place

The donation packages reach the poorest families with the help of our partner organizations. Dombostanya, Bodaszőlő, Haláp, Pac, Kokad és Bagamér the places where school supplies are found. Recently we also visited in person a family living in a difficult situation, where the school bag brought a huge smile to the children's faces.

We are proud and grateful that we could count on so many supporters, which enabled us to distribute a total of 3,984,250 HUF worth of school supplies, i.e. 300 packages, to children in need. This year's donation is a record number, we gratefully thank everyone for this exemplary cooperation and generous support!
