We helped 300 children start school!

In the past few weeks, we worked with all our might to collect the 300 school supplies. Of course, this is not just our work, we achieved this goal together. And thanks to the donation packages, needy students can now return to school fully prepared. 

During the more than one-month collection, we managed to prepare school supplies worth HUF 900,000. 9 companies joined the campaign, and 3 stores provided us with space to collect donations. Also, don't forget about online donors. The online supporters contributed nearly half a million forints to reach our final goal.

Together with our local partner organizations, we assessed the needs and started the collection based on this. Our partner organizations, Dombostanya, Bagamér, Pac, Kokad, Bodaszőlő and Haláp, are the ones who regularly keep in touch with families in need, so they know best which families are in dire need of support.

Starting school is an important milestone in the life of every young child. At the end of August, all students enthusiastically choose from the vast range of school supplies to choose the most beautiful pen holder or notebook. However, there are many children who do not have this opportunity and start the school year with insufficient equipment. At the Dorcas Ministries, we have set ourselves the goal of helping these needy young people.
